How To End Oil Addiction

Evolution is a predominant capitalist way and it should not be void on America's auto industry (including foreign competitors). One in 10 American's are tied to the auto industry. That means our economy without autos sucking oil would shed 10% of our workforce. Yet 9 out of 10 jobs are not related to the industry! Indeed LUBIE LOVE is about this lifestyle - how every facet is touched by a brilliant image of our automotive prowess, pride and patriotism.
Last week's despicable plee by "the Big 3" to save bad management with a "soft, hand out oriented labor force" screams to consumers and companies alike - innovate and prevail to enshrine a patriotic path in America. Certainly we all can use a hand when we're down. How we have forgotten our own way? One clear example is the fact that the Ford Model T achieved nearly 20 miles to the gallon when it outsourced horses and buggies one hundred years ago.
Our political leaders find themselves checking their own priorities as they sit in judgment. Consumer activism and leadership is the fondest means of change. It requires no 4 year election cycle and it entitles each of us to spend wisely daily.
Shouldn't a Ford today be able to easily exceed a standard set in 1908?

In 18 months time, wind farms can be connected to the grid along with progressive solar arrays from the Mississippi to the pacific shores. Just off New Jersey's Atlantic City shores are thriving wind farms doing it's part to power the state's future. While fleets might be better on Natural Gas, citizens traveling less and improving their lifestyles digitally for work in TX, OK, NM, AZ, NV, CA, CO, IA, and yes even in NY, NJ, CT and MA can quickly transition into new economy jobs. These are domestic positions that stimulate further job gains in future "big 3" industries. Surely the retooling of the auto industry can happen with formal guarantees of world class products created for our current society not one from the 70s.
Boone Pickens just bailed from his pursuit of Wind in Colorado. The reason: his investment in natural gas keeps him in the oil business at a much lower cost in the short run. See the Denver Business Journal for details.
